City Cinema Lumière

The City of Mechelen and Lumière have transformed the old assembly hall - Oude Stadsfeestzaal - into a new cultural attraction that oozes character. The interior has retained its original features and authentic atmosphere, so you can indulge in nostalgia while enjoying a comfortable movie experience.  

Make an evening of it with a drink and perhaps something to eat at LUX28 before and/or after the show. City brewery Het Anker opened this delightful café and restaurant on the walkway of the same building, with a view of its magnificent architecture.

The cinema is open every day, including during school holidays and on public holidays. The ticket office is open:

• Mondays to Thursdays from 14.00 to 20.30 hrs
• Fridays and Saturdays from 14.00 to 22.30 hrs
• Sundays from 10.30 to 20.30 hrs
