Accessible toilets

• City Hall, Grote Markt 21 - open from 10 am to 6pm.
• Visit Mechelen, Steenweg 1 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. Not accessible via Schoenmarkt (outside stairs), but via wheelchair-friendly access in Vleeshouwersstraat. Sanitary block with spacious toilet in the basement accessible by stairs and elevator.
• Huis Van De Mechelaar, Reuzenstraat 1 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. Access via ramp. Possible obstacles due to the presence of chairs in the corridor near the meeting rooms. Sufficient room to manoeuvre, there is limited space for positioning next to and in front of the toilet. 
• Predikheren Library, Goswin de Stassartstraat 88 - the toilets are only available during opening hours.
• Vrijbroekpark Visitor Centre, Ridder Dessainlaan 65 - the toilets are only available from 9 am to 8.30 pm.
• Sociaal Huis, Lange Schipstraat 27 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. The main entrance of Sociaal Huis in Lange Schipstraat is not wheelchair accessible (platform lift is out of service). However, the second entrance via the Sinte-Mettetuin courtyard is easily accessible. 
• Hotel Vé, Vismarkt 14 - mentioned by experience experts: you can use the facilities without any obligation to purchase. The route to the toilet is also accessible to wheelchair users.
• De Vleeshalle, Huidevettersstraat 7 - wheelchair accessible toilet, but only available during opening hours. Small threshold at the entrance of De Vleeshalle (they have installed a ramp).
• Taverne Vrijbroekhof, Vrijbroekpark - mentioned by experience experts. Only available during opening hours. 
• Kazerne Dossin, Goswin de Stassartstraat 153 -  the museum has two adapted toilets (level -1 and +3). Only available during opening hours. Take the lift. 
• Gelateria Julietta, Steenweg 36 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. To the left of the main entrance you have another entrance with a ramp for wheelchair users, but additional help is necessary 
• Cultural Centre, Minderbroedersgang 5 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. Open from 1 pm to 6 pm (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). 
• Tivoli Park Castle, Antwerpsesteenweg 92 - by experience experts: Narrow entrance (motorised wheelchairs do not work here) and small threshold at the entrance. Only available during opening hours.
• Tivoli park playground, Antwerpsesteenweg 94B - access to toilet is only possible after asking for a code at the café. The toilets are only available during opening hours. 
• Grote Markt underground car park - the toilet is located on the side where the elevator comes out. Payment with a 50 cent coin. Reasonably heavy door and limited manoeuvring space; for wheelchair users or people who have difficulty walking, assistance is (currently) recommended. Open 24/7.
• De Schijf, Lijsterstraat 2 - the toilets are only available during opening hours.
• Den Deighem, Karmelietenstraat 13 - the toilets are only available during opening hours.
• De Rooster, Klein Begijnhof 16 - the toilets are only available during opening hours.
• Residential care centre Hof van Egmont, Hendrik Speecqvest 5 - if you go in through the main entrance, there is an adapted toilet in the right corridor on the left. 
• Oxfam Wereldwinkel, Hoogstraat 59 - mentioned by experience experts: accessible toilet without any obligation to buy. Only available during opening hours. 
• Cinema Lumiere, Frederik de Merodestraat 28 - there are no steps at the entrance door on the far right. Just ring the bell and we will gladly come and help you. The toilets are only available during opening hours. 
• Café Torke, Grote Markt 12 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. Slight incline/threshold when entering the café. 
• KUUB, Minderbroedersgang 3A - the toilets are only available during opening hours. Not a lot of room to manoeuvre. 
• Solidaris Ziekenfonds, Désiré Boucherystraat 17 - mentioned by experience experts. Only available during opening hours. 
• CGG De Pont, Lange Ridderstraat 20 - mentioned by experience experts. Only available during opening hours. Shower also available. 
• Angus Steakhouse, Wollemarkt 16 - the toilets are only available during opening hours. There is a spacious adapted toilet at the entrance hall. But curbstone before entrance + no hand rail. 
• Nekkerspoel Station (Entrance via Pardoes bookshop), Ontvoeringsplein 12 - accessible during opening hours 
• Hof Van Busleyden, Frederik de Merodestraat 65 - both sanitary blocks have a spacious and fairly well-equipped adapted toilet. Only available during opening hours.
