Alexis Stoelen - Windward

Under the watchful eye of curators and artists Gijs Vanhee and Jonas Tuch, the second part of Mechelen Muurt also includes local input. In association with the City of Mechelen, the duo encouraged Mechelen’s artistic citizens to come forward.  

Out of 24 entries, the jury chose abstract artist Alexis Stoelen, who was gifted a wall on the corner of Lange Heergracht and Blokstraat. Here he created a mural in which some see an elephant and others a traffic light. What do you see?
