Gijs Vanhee - Home

In this edition, Gijs Vanhee, who initiated the Mechelen Muurt project, has also left his mark on a wall. This time he let his creativity loose on a wall measuring 23 meters high and 7 meters wide. It is one of his largest works.

Typical of Gijs’ work are the birds with a human body. It is no coincidence that his ten bird people are to be found in the Oud Oefenplein neighbourhood, where ten streets are named after birds. Take your time when you stand in front of this wall. Who can spot the nod to St Rumbold’s Tower?
