Fulling Mill
Leave the hustle and bustle of the campus of the college of higher education behind you and stroll through the quiet Botanical Garden to the ancient wooden mill, the Volmolen. In the Middle Ages a complex of watermills here regulated the water level in the Dyle. When the Dyle was diverted, the mills became superfluous and so were demolished. Only the Volmolen was spared. The Molenhuis, or Mill-house, next door was restored recently and is now a ViaVia café.
