Free Shopping Shuttle

The Shopping Shuttle provides a quick and comfortable ride to the city centre from a free car park on the outskirts of Mechelen during the week and on weekends. It also runs on Shopping Sundays. Forget the hassle of looking for a parking space and lugging heavy shopping bags around. Make life easy for yourself and hop on the Shopping Shuttle!

Dogs are unfortunately not allowed on the Shopping Shuttle vans. Unless guide dogs. On the boat route, Keerdok - Haverwerf, all dogs are allowed. 

De Nekker car park - Grote Markt route

• Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm
• Friday from 10 am to 12 am
• Saturday from 8 am to 12 am
• Shopping Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm

How does it work?

• Park your car for free at car park De Nekker. The entrance to this gravel car park is on the side of the UGC Cinemas. The Shopping shuttle stop is there as well.
• Go to the Shopping Shuttle stop. Expect to wait approximately five to fifteen minutes. 
• Get off at the Grote Markt and enjoy Mechelen!
• When you’ve finished shopping, make your way to the stop on the Grote Markt and take a shuttlebus back to De Nekker car park. 

P+R Retail Partners Colruyt Group - Hombeek - Hoogstraat route

You can park for free in the Retail Partners car park, Regenboog 8. From there, the Shopping Shuttle will take you to the Hoogstraat (and return you to the car park).

You can park for free at the P+R Retail Partners Colruyt Group, De Regenboog 8 (P+R), or at the station square in Hombeek. On Saturdays, the Shopping Shuttle stops at both locations. The shuttle then drops you off close to the city centre, in Hoogstraat near the corner with Moensstraat. After a day of enjoying Mechelen, you return to the stop in Hoogstraat. The Shopping Shuttle will then take you back to your car quickly and easily.

• Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm. The waiting time is approximately 15 minutes.

Route Keerdok - Haverwerf

New is the Shopping Shuttle by water! A free shuttle boat will take you along the Dyle from the stop at Keerdokkaai to Haverwerf. Not only practical, but also a real experience. Use of the Shopping Shuttle is free of charge.

You can park in the new Keerdok car park. From the car park, you can walk to the landing stage in just a few minutes. More info on Keerdok car park tariffs.

• Every Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm. The waiting time is about 20 min. Between 1 pm and 4 pm, you should expect a waiting time of 30 minutes.
• Shopping Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm. The waiting time is about 40 min.
  • Departure Shopping Shuttle at Keerdok stop: at 1 pm, 1.40 pm, 2.20 pm, 3 pm, 3.40 pm, 4.20 pm, 5 pm, 5.40 pm
  • Departure Shopping Shuttle at Haverwerf stop: 1.20 pm, 2 pm, 2.40 pm, 3.20 pm, 4 pm, 4.40 pm, 5.20 pm.
