Botermarkt
The Botermarkt, or Butter Market, is a convivial little square between Bruul and Muntstraat. It used to be called 'Coolmerct' because charcoal was unloaded and traded here. Nowadays the Botermarkt is a shopping street with several large chain stores. The cubist fountain erected in the middle of the square is a focal point. People like to sit around it, particularly in the summer months, and children love playing here.
