Opening Weekend Museum Hof van Busleyden

On June 17th  2018 everyone is invited to join us as we roll out the red carpet at the Museum Hof van Busleyden for the reopening of the newly-renovated museum and the opening of the new permanent exhibition!

The week will culminate in a festive weekend on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th when we wave off the temporary exhibition ‘Call for Justice’ and usher in Museum Night and other unmissable events.

Programme

June 22nd - Museum Night

It’s been a while coming.... but Mechelen is about to host its very first Museum Night! Feel a tinge of nostalgia at the Toy Museum, be moved by heart-rending stories at Kazerne Dossin and relive our Burgundian heritage at the brand-new Museum Hof van Busleyden.

On June 22nd one ticket will provide access to those three museums. You can travel between the museums on foot or by bicycle. Kazerne Dossin and the Toy Museum will stay open until 22.00 hrs; Museum Hof van Busleyden until midnight.

Prices

Children aged 0 – 3 | free

Children aged 4 – 12 | 5 euros

Everyone aged over 12 | 10 euros (purchased in advance) or 12 euros (at the museum on the day)

Tickets can be purchased in advance at UiT Mechelen (Hallestraat 2-4, Mechelen) or online here.

You’ll find more information on the Museum Night Mechelen website

June 22nd, 23rd, 24th - BUUS-KRUID food festival

During the Museum Hof Van Busleyden opening weekend, the museum’s beautiful enclosed garden will provide the setting for the best street food, brought to us by Bus-Kruid. Unusual combinations of pure, fresh and healthy ingredients are the mobile herb truck’s ode to herbs and the vegetable garden. The museum bar will cater for most tastes and it even has food and beer pairing suggestions. Alternatively you can sample different wines or just sit back and relax over a perfect cocktail!

Admission to this festival is free.
